Product Description
The chief herbs are dang gui, shao yao, and chuan xiong. Dang gui tonifies and invigorates the blood and is therefore said to nourish the yang of the blood. It also regulates the relationship between the liver and kidneys. Chuan xiong primarily invigorates the blood and promotes the movement of qi, so it alleviates pain. Three drugs together effectively harmonize the liver’s function and nourish blood. The deputies are fu ling, bai zhu, and ze xie. Together they strengthen the transporting function of the spleen and leach out dampness. Based on this herbs combination, the main function of this formula is to treat pain due to liver deficiency with blood stasis, and spleen deficiency with stagnation due to dampness.
